Monthly bulletin: November 2026 edition

A message from David!

October was another great month for the Kingston Waterfront Rotary Club, highlighted by our special visit to the Canadian Museum of Healthcare in recognition of World Polio Day. Thank you to everyone who attended, and a special thanks to those who generously donated in support of Rotary’s PolioPlus Fund.

Looking ahead to November, we have another interesting lineup of speakers and activities, beginning with a Club Assembly on November 2. Upcoming presentations include Canvas Food Art (November 9), Walking Reconciliation Chat (November 16), and Pop-Up Thrifting (November 23), followed by a Club Social & FAN Talk on November 30.

Of course, November also marks the launch of our 2026 Clothes For Kids Campaign, one of our club's most important annual initiatives. Our official launch is planned for Friday, November 6, at 11:00 a.m. at the Cataraqui Centre. I hope everyone will find a way to get involved, whether by volunteering, spreading the word, or connecting us with potential supporters. Thank you for your continued commitment to our club and community, and I look forward to working together to make this year's campaign another success!

Yours in Rotary,

David B. Young

President, Kingston Waterfront Rotary Club

In November 1956, 12 Canadians & 4 Americans went to Scotland to curl, and the following year, 20 Scots returned. Starting in 1960, this Trans-Atlantic curling tour was moved to occur every two years. The Tour has provided International Rotary Fellowship and deepened connections amongst Rotarians ever since.

Some nice memories from this month

The highlight of the month was our visit to the Canadian Museum of Health Care!! Look at this beautiful crowd …

We had a huge turn out of more than 30 people for the public, Rotary Clubs in the area, and even Rotary Clubs form Galapagos!! We had the wonderful chance to visit some unique exhibits and to listen to incredible stories of Health Care in Canada. Thank you to ALL who helped making this event possible, and to ALL who came …
